Ronseal 5 Year Weather Defence Fence Life

Ronseal 5 Year Weather Defence Fence Life is the ultimate colour and weatherproofing protection for rough sawn sheds and fences.

  • Our advanced UV resistant pigments guarantee up to 5 years of colour.
  • Added waxes create a waterproof barrier keeping out rain, frost and snow which can cause the coating to crack and peel.
  • Our special combination of resins provide superb coverage.

Dry in just 1-2 hours, it's also safe to use around any plants and pets.

Preparation

Make sure the wood is clean and dry. Do not apply to damp wood as this will affect penetration and adhesion of the coating. Remove any dirt, moss, fungal and lichen growth with a stiff brush.

The shade label indicates approximate colour only. We recommend you test a small area to determine the final colour which may be influenced by the texture, grain, colour, porosity type of wood and previous treatment.

Application

Give the Fencelife a good stir. You can apply using a sprayer or a brush.

Power SprayerPour the liquid in to the sprayer tank. Our precision sprayer comes with 3 settings to get the job done with less mess. Read the instruction leaflet before you start. Then turn on the unit and start spraying.
Pump Sprayer: Pour the liquid into the tank. Pump it up and start spraying.
When spraying, the tip to getting an even finish is to use long, sweeping, horizontal arm movements. Move along the full width of the fence panel, drop down and do the same again. Overlap each pass by 50%. This will make sure the whole area is covered with the correct amount of product.
Brush: If you want to brush it on. Get loads of Fence Life on your brush. Put a thick coat on and don't spread it too far. If your wood is very weathered, you may need to put another coat on. Leave 4 hours between coats.
Any over spray or drips should be cleaned up straight away with soapy water before the stain dries.
